U.S, January 19, 2019: Texas Tech University’s online graduate education programs were recognized among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, earning an improved rank in the latest list of top online programs according to reports published in depts.ttu.edu
Texas Tech was ranked No. 89 in the category of Best Online Graduate Education Programs, which is up 61 spots from No. 150 in 2018.
Additionally, the university was ranked No. 27 in the Best Online Graduate Education Programs for Veterans category.
“This recognition is made all the more meaningful by the fact that the College of Education has worked diligently to ensure all students, including those engaged in online education, are receiving the highest quality educational opportunities possible,” said Robin Lock, interim dean of the College of Education.
“Faculty members have identified methods for engaging our online students in a very personal way that assures they have the same rigorous and interactive learning experience as students in our on-campus classrooms. It is extremely fulfilling for the faculty of the College of Education to provide educational opportunities that will result in successful career advancement in a wide variety of fields.”

U.S. News & World Report is the top source for higher education rankings in the nation. For the 2019 edition of the Best Online Graduate Education Programs rankings, U.S. News ranked more than 300 schools based on five general categories: engagement; services and technologies; expert opinion; student excellence; and faculty credentials and training.
