Pune, April 09, 2005: The Department of Commerce, Postgraduate & Research Centre, in association with the IQAC of Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, successfully hosted a two-day International Conference on “Adapting to a Dynamic World: Leadership, Technology & Sustainable Growth for the 21st Century” on April 8 and 9, 2025.
The conference was chaired by Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, with Dr. Mohammed Fazil Sharaeef as Coordinator, Dr. Nasrin Khan as Convener and Dr. Hamed Hashmi as Secretary.
With 134 delegates from India and abroad, including 24 international students from Turkmenistan and four global speakers from Belgium, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the UK, the event saw wide participation.
Chief Guest Dr. Nitin Ghorpade, Senate Member of Savitribai Phule Pune University, called for adaptive leadership in a tech-driven era. Guest of Honour Dr. Satya Lakshmi, Director, National Institute of Naturopathy, emphasized holistic well-being, while Dr. Manasvi Kamat, Principal of MES Vasant Joshi College, Goa, highlighted the role of AI and sustainability in education.
The conference featured the launch of an edited book entitled Leadership, Technology and Sustainability for Global Impact and the a peer reviewed journal with four volumes of International Journal of Advance and Innovative Research, with 102 peer-reviewed papers.
International speakers included Dr. Bart Roels (Belgium), Dr. Ahmad Fazilizian (Malaysia), Dr. Ravi Dissanayke (Sri Lanka) and Mr. Steve (UK), along with Indian expert Dr. Tameem Sharief, all of whom spoke on AI, sustainability and innovation.
The valedictory session featured Chief Guest Mr. Rajib Kumar Jena, Founder of Zordiso and Guest of Honour Mr. Rahul Pardeshi, Director at Zensar Technologies.
The conference served as a powerful platform for global dialogue and innovative thinking on leadership, technology and sustainable growth.
