New Delhi, May 20, 2020: The HRD minister has launched an app called National Testing Abhyas which will offer free mock tests and revisions to students preparing for JEE and NEET.
During the nationwide lockdown, the government has taken several measures to ensure that the education of students is not majorly effected. Acting on one of these measures, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the launch of National Testing Abhyas app, which will help JEE and NEET aspirants take online mock tests and prepare for their respective entrance exam from home.
This app was launched by the HRD minister as students are not able to attend their coaching classes these days, due to the nationwide lockdown and the closure of all education institutes in the country. This app will help students take free mock tests which will help them prepare better for their exams.
The minister announced the launch of this app via microblogging site Twitter. He took to twitter and said,” After receiving multiple requests from students regarding the preparation for competitive exams, I advised @DG_NTA to create an app that would aid students to prepare for these exams efficiently.”
In his announcement via Twitter, he also released a short video explain the key features of the application, and how it will help the students prepare for JEE and NEET from the safety of their homes.
Features of the National Testing Abhyas app
The app will be helping NEET and JEE (Main) aspirants prepare for their respective exams efficiently from the comfort of their homes. Here are some of the key features of the applications-
- As per the video explaining the features of the app, candidates who have downloaded the app can take three hour mock tests daily at any time as per their convenience from the comfort of their homes, to prepare for their entrance examinations.
- Students who have downloaded the app can also monitor their progress by keeping tabs on their total and subject wise scores in the online mock tests.
- After finishing the online tests, the app gives you all the correct answer with elaborate explanations so that you can understand and learn all the concepts in which you have doubts.
- You can also evaluate time spent on different subject and then divide your time accordingly, as per your strengths and your examination syllabus.
- The app is available on all Android phones as of now. It will soon be available on iOS phones as well.
Students are not able to focus on entrance exam preparations due to the nationwide lockdown and the closure of all coaching centres. Educational institutes are now resorting to online education methods through video conferencing and television broadcasts to reach students at home and complete the syllabus for this academic year on time according to the reports published in indiatoday.in.
