Kolkata , September 29, 2022: Eastern India Chartered Accountants Students’ Association (EICASA) of Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised Regional Level National Talent (II) under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Sunday, the 25th September 2022. It was organised at R. Singhi Hall (EIRC Auditorium) addressed at ICAI Bhawan, 7, Anandilal Poddar Sarani (Russell Street), Kolkata – 700 071. It was organised by Students Skills Enrichment Board (SSEB), ICAI and the same was hosted by EICASA of EIRC of ICAI.
The programme was a whole day affair with a lot many branches of Eastern India Chartered Accountants Students’ Association participated in the said Regional Level Contest.
In his brief welcome address, CA. Debayan Patra, Chairman, EICASA, detailed about the relevance and significance of organising this programme. He also summarised in prominent words the need for remain in touch with programmes being organised by the students’ association and laid emphasis on participating in various events of EICASA will prove beneficial for the students desiring to be a successful Chartered Accountants.
The programme consists of Regional Level Quiz Contest and, Regional Level Best PPT Presenter Contest wherein students presented their papers on the following topics –
1. India Outsourcing Power Hub of Accounting Services.
2. Ethical issue in Human Gene Editing.
3. Working Remotely: Pros & Con’s.
4. Benefit of being a Polyglot.
5. Medical Tourism Next big opportunity for India.
Mr. Byabang Medo hailing from Guwahati Branch of EICASA of EIRC secured the first position while Mr. Swaraj Babu from Bhubaneswar Branch of EICASA of EIRC and Ms. Ankita Kumari Singh from Kolkata branch managed to get the second and third positions respectively.
CA. Arijit Chakraborty, CA. Purvee Anoop Mehrotra and CA. Sanjay Khemka who was a national level winner of Elocution Contest judged the Best PPT Contest while CA. Arijit Chakraborty played the role of Quiz Master in the Quiz Contest.
Mr. Abhijit Sett and Ms. Manisha Das – contesting pair from Kolkata branch scored to top the contest in the Quiz Contest while Mr. Snehil Garg and Mr. Uday Bhawsunka – the pair from Cuttack branch secured the second position.
The programme re-affirmed the necessity and relevance of organising the programme as the students pursuing CA course proved their acumen in the field of public speaking with meritorious research work on the topics they had deliberated on and quizers showcased their expertise about the flow of incidents going on around them.
Shri Manish Mishra, representative from EICASA offered vote of thanks expressing indebtedness to the judges, greeted the winners of both the contests acknowledging the zeal of all the participants.
Swashbuckling performances from the youth once again established the fact that in today’s competitive world, multi-skill is required to thrive in creating a brave new world.
