New Delhi, January 01, 2023: The Indian government has consistently emphasized the importance of education and skill development in its budgets. In the upcoming budget, we have high expectations for continued allocation towards improving access to quality education, particularly in rural areas and for underprivileged sections of society.

Additionally, the government is expected to announce measures to promote the integration of technology in education and to build future-ready skills in students. Some specific areas of favourable allocation in the budget should include: Expansion of digital infrastructure for education, including increasing access to online resources for students and teachers,  Investment in skill development programs, particularly in areas that align with emerging industries, Expansion of scholarships and other financial aid programs for students from economically weaker sections of society,  Implementation of new pedagogical methods, including technology-enabled learning, Strengthening of vocational training programs to equip students with industry-relevant skills, Allocation towards the development of new schools, particularly in rural and remote areas and increased investment in research and innovation in the field of education.

The industry anticipates that the government will ensure that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the rapidly changing job market of the future. By investing in technology and digital infrastructure, the government should make quality education accessible to all and bridge the skills gap in the country.
