Mumbai, December 13, 2024: Students of MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) showcased their exceptional talent and brought glory to the university at the prestigious 62nd National Roller Skating Championships 2024, held in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Jinesh Nanal and Shreyasi Joshi emerged as National Champions, each clinching two gold medals in the speed slalom and classic slalom categories. Their remarkable achievements make them the only skaters in India to accomplish this feat.
Adding to the university’s success, Kuhoo Khandekar, a First-Year M.Sc. Integrated Biotechnology student, earned a bronze medal in the speed slalom, demonstrating extraordinary skill and determination.
Reflecting on his victory, Jinesh Nanal, a Third-Year B.Tech (CSE) student, said, “Winning two gold medals at the 2024 National Championships in Bangalore is a proud milestone for me. I owe this success to the unwavering support of my university, my coach, my uncle, and my parents.” Looking ahead, he is determined to secure a gold medal at the upcoming World Games Chengdu 2025.
Shreyasi Joshi, a Second-Year B.Tech Computer Science student, echoed similar ambitions for the World Games Chengdu 2025 and the Asian Championships 2025. Expressing gratitude, she shared, “MIT-WPU has always supported me, ensuring I caught up on my studies after competitions.
