The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI) is supporting the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, Western Australia to debut the Australian School Curriculum in India

Bangalore, November 08,2024: The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI) conference marked a landmark moment with the debut of the Australian Curriculum in India, representing a significant advancement in aligning with global educational standards. The rollout of the Australian Board curriculum is a first-time introduction in India. Known for its cutting-edge and inclusive approach, the Australian curriculum emphasizes academic rigor and active involvement in sports. Implementing these global best practices for Indian students will enhance their overall educational experience.

With a structure that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and inclusivity, the Australian curriculum will prepare students for future success, aligning with the increasing number of Indian students who pursue higher education in Australia. This initiative ensures that learners are several steps ahead in understanding global educational practices and adapting seamlessly to advanced academic environments.

Commenting on this collaboration, Syed Sultan Ahmed, Founder and Chief Learner of LXL Ideas, stated, “The goal of this partnership is to introduce global best practices and infuse an international flavour into the Indian education system. This collaboration with the Australian Government marks a significant step forward. Expanding the Australian curriculum in our schools is not only opening new avenues but also nurturing new forms of thinking that places the world of ideas right in the hands of our students.

Education is the passport to life, and we are fully committed towards preparing our students with the skills, knowledge and the world view to succeed in the globalized world. Collectively, we are creating a space that enables the youth to develop their imagination and creativity and prepare them to take on leadership and transformational responsibilities.” added Sultan.

Hillary McGeachy, Australian Consul General in Bengaluru, expressed her enthusiasm for this partnership: “This partnership is a testament to our joint efforts in promoting educational excellence and cross-cultural understanding. As we look at the remarkable statistic that India continues to be the second-largest source of international students in Australia—over 122,000 bright minds enrolled from January to September 2023—we see a tremendous opportunity ahead.”

This partnership is a landmark event for India and its education system, strengthening the ties between the two nations. With students experiencing the education system of other countries, they will be better equipped to navigate future challenges and seize opportunities on a global scale.
