New Delhi, November 30, 2023 : The Director of Admissions & Marketing at Odisha’s Centurion University of Technology and Management, Mr Sukanta Parida, was recently felicitated during this year’s edition of Collegedunia Connect 3.0. Mr Parida bagged the award for bringing out an unprecedented transformation in branding, marketing and promotion of Centurion University, which is India’s first skill university and the only varsity in the country to be recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Union Skill Development Ministry. Collegedunia Connect, the third edition of which was held recently at Taj Palace in New Delhi, is an annual event to celebrate and honour change-makers and luminaries in the field of education.

The award was determined on the basis of diverse parameters such as usage of digital technologies for enhancing the university’s reputation, its visibility, admissions promotion, marketing as well as outreach. The central theme of this year’s Collegedunia Connect was ‘Innovation in Education: The Key to Transforming India’, which essentially addressed the prevailing era of significant changes in the Indian education system. Special emphasis was given on the paradigm shift towards digital and experiential learning. The other education-related agendas taken up during the event included Industry 4.0, AI in Education and the need of education for all.
Notably, Odisha’s Centurion University is a pioneer in skill education and experiential learning, with more than 50 nano, micro and macro on-campus industries & labs, in partnership with industry giants such as Dassault Systems, AWS, Yamaha, Schneider Electric etc. While it has been ranked A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, the university has received acknowledgment from Central and State governments, as well as institutions like UNESCO, World Bank, McKinsey and NITI Aayog.
