Hyderabad, October 24, 2020: The DWAB Development & Welfare Association of Blind, a Blind School Run by Blind expressed its shock and grief over the death of Naini Narasimha Reddy, the former Union leader and Home. In a statement they issued in Hyderabad today, they recalled his services for the welfare of the visually challenged.
The office-bearers of the DWAB, headed by its Secretary P. Chokka Rao said Naini was the well-wisher of the blind. He was always there at our beck and call. He helped blind in many ways. He fought for us in Charminar factory and got the visually challenged the wages on par with the ordinary people. He stood by us. He helped us get three agreements in our favor.
He was among the 1st voices for separate Telangana. The Visually impaired face many problems living their life. Not many turn up to extend help.
Finding and keeping a job has always been a problem for us. Even if we get job companies used to consider us to be a liability to them. This negative impact on the confidence and emotional wellbeing of the visually impaired cripple their economic independence. Naini, as a union leader, used to explain this to many managements and convinced them to hire visually challenged for suitable roles Naini Narsimha Reddy was a different person. We can proudly say he was one such a labour union leader and a politician ever ready to help us.
