Noida, March 08, 2025: The School of Law and Legal Affairs of Noida International University organized a grand celebration on International Women’s Day. The event primarily focused on women’s safety and building a healthy society.
The chief guests for the occasion included Madam Suniti (IPS, DGP—Women and Security), Senior Advocate Rachna Srivastava (Vice President, Supreme Court Bar Association), and Major General Vikram Dogra (AVSM). The event commenced with flowers being offered and a lamp lit in front of Goddess Saraswati. Following this, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests.
As the event progressed, each guest shared their insightful perspectives. Madam Suniti emphasized women’s empowerment, legal provisions for women’s safety, and the importance of women’s health. Advocate Rachna Srivastava discussed equality laws and how women today are excelling in every field alongside men. She also highlighted the importance of initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and ‘Meri Beti, Mera Abhiman’. Major General Vikram Dogra spoke about the importance of a healthy mind in building a strong society, stressing that health insurance is essential for everyone in today’s world.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Brijendra Yadav (Dean, School of Law). The program was successfully conducted by the students of the School of Law.
