Chennai, November 26, 2025: Hindustan International School (HIS), Karapakkam, hosted the HIS Global Conclave: Edition II, a major interschool Model United Nations (MUN) conference designed to nurture globally aware, compassionate, and solution-driven young leaders. This year’s conclave revolved around the theme “Fostering Global Dialogue for a Better Future”, encouraging students to engage deeply with global issues aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The inaugural ceremony was graced by distinguished guests Mr. Rajeev Mecheri, Honorary Consul, Honorary Consulate of Ireland (South India), and Dr. C.K. Sreedharan, IfoS (Retd.). Both dignitaries addressed the young delegates, sharing inspiring perspectives on leadership, diplomacy, and the importance of youth engagement in addressing global problems. The event was organised under the leadership of Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman, Hindustan Group of Institutions, and brought together student delegates from leading schools across Chennai.

Through committee sessions, debates, negotiations, and policy drafting, participants explored real-world challenges related to peace, sustainability, global cooperation, and inclusive development.Throughout the conclave, student delegates demonstrated exceptional research abilities, communication skills, and diplomatic maturity across various committees. Their discussions reflected a deep understanding of world affairs and a strong commitment to finding constructive solutions through dialogue.
