New Delhi, June 29, 2021: ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad a constituent of The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education has signed MoU with the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat to collaborate and coordinate various activities relating to the field of Forensic Science. The ceremony was held virtually under the auspices of the Centre for Excellence in Criminal Law, ICFAI Law School.
The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. J Mahender Reddy, Hon’ble Justice G. Yethirajulu, Hon’ble Justice B. Prakash Rao, Prof. Haragopal Reddy and Director, Prof. A V Narasimha Rao on the part of ICFAI Law School and Dr. J. M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor and Dr. S. O. Junare, Campus Director on the part of National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar.
In his speech Dr. J Mahender Reddy stressed on the academic achievements and high standards of research work being carried out by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. He talked about the various Centres for Excellence in the fields of Criminal Law, Cyber Law, Corporate Law, Environmental Law, IPR and Management. He also highlighted the initiatives taken by the Innovation and Incubation Centres.
Dr. J. M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor, NFSU emphasized the programs taken up by the University in the field of Forensic Sciences and their coordination and collaboration with the top World Universities, Police and Judiciary in paving way for the contribution towards the Criminal Justice Delivery System. It is a Central University and an institute of national importance.
Dr. S. O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU highlighted the importance of faculty and student exchange programs between the institutions besides focusing on setting up a standardized curriculum in collaboration with ICFAI Law School in synchronization with the industry demand.
Prof. A. V. Narasimha Rao, Director, ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad mentioned about the honours courses relating to Forensic Science and Law introduced in the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. He also said that the MoU would create new avenues for students and the faculty members of both the institutions in the discipline of Forensic Science. Ms. Anwesha Panigrahi, Co-coordinator, Centre for Excellence, Faculty and students of ICFAI Law School participated in the event.
