Under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative of the Government of India, 46 students from Madhya Pradesh set off for Haryana on an Experiential Tour
Amarkantak (MP), January 13, 2025: Forty-six students from various higher education institutions in Madhya Pradesh have embarked on a cultural exchange journey to the Central University of Haryana under Yuva Sangam Phase V program. This trip is a part of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiative and is scheduled from January 11 to January 18, 2025. It aims to promote cultural diversity and foster connections among India’s youth, aligning with the Ministry of Education’s guidelines.
Accompanying the students are faculty members and administrative officials from IGNTU. The six-member guidance team includes Associate Professor Manoj Kumar Pandey, as well as administrative officers Sanjeev Kumar Singh and Akhilesh Kumar Singh. Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Byomkesh Tripathi flagged off the delegation for Haryana.
As these students embark on their transformative journey, IGNTU extends its heartfelt wishes for a meaningful and enriching experience, embodying the true spirit of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.
Highlights of the Journey:
The students’ itinerary includes curated visits to significant landmarks, cultural sites, and industrial hubs across Haryana, offering insights into the state’s rich heritage, economic development, and technological advancements. Workshops on traditional art, music, and cuisine will further deepen their appreciation of India’s cultural tapestry. Key destinations include:
- Mahendragarh: Madhogarh Fort, Bassai Temple, and Khudana Temple.
- Rakhigarhi and Kurukshetra: National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Brahmasarovar, Panorama, Sri Krishna Sangrahalaya, and Darohar Museum.
- Chandigarh: Rock Garden, Indian Air Force Heritage Museum, and Kala Sagar Museum.
- Pinjore: Pinjore Gardens and the local market.
The students will also engage with local communities through meaningful interactions, fostering people-to-people connections and gaining first-hand experience of Haryana’s vibrant traditions and practices.
Yuva Sangam Phase 5:
Twenty prominent higher education institutions across India have been identified to lead this phase of Yuva Sangam. Participants from these institutions are visiting their paired states or Union Territories, promoting multidimensional exposure in five broad areas known as the 5 Ps:
- Paryatan (Tourism)
- Parampara (Traditions)
- Pragati (Development)
- Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connections)
- Prodyogiki (Technology)
The previous phases of Yuva Sangam have seen tremendous enthusiasm, with over 44,000 registrations in the last phase alone. To date, 4,795 youth from across India have participated in 114 tours under this program, beginning with the pilot phase in 2022.
This experiential journey promises to inspire and empower participants, deepening their understanding of India’s cultural diversity and fostering a sense of national integration.
