Mumbai, December 21, 2023: The Christmas carnival hosted by JBCN International School across its Parel, Oshiwara, and Chembur campuses has become an annual tradition aimed at spreading joy and festive spirit among families. The event provides a platform for fun and entertainment and emphasises the importance of giving back to the community.

The Oshiwara campus hosted its 2nd edition of the Christmas carnival, adopting an enchanting amusement park theme and offering a day filled with festive cheer. The event featured a diverse range of exhilarating games, lively stalls, tempting eateries, and exciting rides catering to children of all ages. Platinum sponsors, including ZeroG Beds, VV Mansions, and Nature Gate, along with the gold sponsor, ICICI Bank, played a pivotal role in the event’s success.

IBDP Year 1 learners as part of their Creativity, Activity, Service aspect of the IBDP Programme, (known as CAS) along with members of the Learner Led Club organised various activities, including bake sale and a photobooth. The funds raised from the bake sale led by the CAS Learners will be directed towards CAS projects. Furthermore, Rotary Sanskaardham Academy, dedicated to children with auditory and speech impairments, and Learning Space Foundation, focused on rural education upliftment, set up stalls at the JBCN Oshiwara Christmas Carnival. These organisations utilised the festive event to garner support for their causes.

Meanwhile, the Parel campus hosted its inaugural Christmas Carnival with the Interact Club. Attendees enjoyed a variety of experiences, including food stalls, handcrafted products, learner entrepreneur stalls, games, NGO booths, and thrilling rides such as boat rides, bungee jumping, bouncy castles, giant wheels, and more. Sponsors for this campus included The St. Regis Mumbai, Sofitel, Raajsa Resort Kumbhalgarh, Zooboo Story, Colo Photo Shop, Scott Eyewear and Table Utopia.

The commitment to giving back was evident through a toy and book donation drive, with collected items creatively used to build a Christmas tree at the carnival. The Interact Club learners planned to donate these items to the Hamara Foundation. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from stall bookings went to the Apni Shala Foundation, aligning with JBCN’s belief in nurturing future Changemakers and global citizens who actively contribute to positive, progressive change.

The Chembur campus hosted its 2nd edition of Mistletoe, The Christmas Carnival, inviting visitors from the wider community for the first time. The carnival featured diverse family activities such as DIY sushi making, a bouncy castle, a toy train, live music, exciting raffle prizes, and much more. The atmosphere buzzed with the harmonious melodies of a learner-led Christmas choir, creating a festive symphony for all to enjoy. Renowned brands such as KC Roasters, Bombay Food Truck, Urban Platter and HSBC had their presence at the carnival. Yet, the true highlight emerged with the inclusion of stalls showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit of parents and the empowerment of school support staff through their own dedicated space. One Meraki, the enthusiastic title sponsor, partnered with JBCN to infuse the carnival with unconventional activities like face painting and pottery, captivating attendees of all ages. In this unique blend of merriment and community engagement, the Mistletoe Christmas Carnival crafted a memorable evening for all who joined in the festivities, leaving hearts brimming with the spirit of joy and cheer.

Mr. Kunal Dalal, Managing Director of JBCN Education, said, “I am thrilled with the successful culmination of our Christmas Carnival across Oshiwara, Chembur, and Parel campuses.
