Mehsana, January 03, 2025: In a groundbreaking partnership, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Medhavi Skills University and Amrit Mehsana Start-up Innovation Mission signed a strategic MoU, in the presence of Shri Rushikesh Patel ji, Honourable Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Higher & Technical Education, Law and Justice, Government of Gujarat, to launch the Centre of Excellence (CoE) – NaMo iHUB, India’s First District Startup & Innovation Hub to boost sustainable employment in Gujarat. The inauguration ceremony was attended by elected representatives, academicians, and industry leaders of the Mehsana District.
Propelling the Amrit Mehsana Mission forward, the CoE will act as the nodal body in Mehsana district of Gujarat to build Industry-ready manpower as per the requirements of the different industry clusters present in the district.
The CoE aims to identify and address regional skill development challenges, foster industry-academia collaborations, and create global employment opportunities for the youth of Gujarat.
The Center will offer learners advanced training facilities to deliver industry-relevant, skill-based courses. NSDC as the knowledge and technology partner will provide strategic support in technology integration and industry tie-ups to align these capacity-building courses with the emerging market trends.
With an annual training capacity of 2,000 individuals, the CoE will cater to a diverse range of sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, electronics, agriculture, and textiles. Collaborating with over 100 industries and MSMEs, the Center of Excellence will provide specialized, industry-aligned learning through work-integrated programs.
Additionally, the NaMo iHub Center, with NSDC’s support will offer international placement programs, equipping learners with skills tailored for global opportunities and bridging the gap between local talent and worldwide demand. The CoE will act as a global employment gateway for the youth of Gujarat.
