In the times of virtual learning, schools of Delhi NCR have remodelled their Independence Day rituals to keep the fervour of this important day alive in students and staff members. Tools like Live Streaming are going to be proving resourceful for the school authorities in conducting the Independence Day celebrations creatively.
Ms. Seema Kaur, Principal, Pacific World School, Greater Noida elaborated that the school would be hosting a mix of virtual events related to the history of this day. She also added, ” Creative craft activities will also be a part of our celebration, our sincere efforts would be to make students realize the value of sacrifice made by our freedom fighters and their duties as a responsible citizen.Group discussions on relevance of freedom in present times would be arranged for senior classes, and face paintings, t-shirt painting, fancy dress, slogan recital activities would be for the junior classes.”
DPS Rajnagar Extension, Ghaziabad is planning to hoist the National Flag and stream it as a part of their E-morning assembly on 15th August. Mrs. Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal of the school said, ” Independence Day has always been a very colorful celebration in our school, but this time we have tried keeping the same energy through virtual medium. The assembly would be conducted around a Hindi Patriotic poem, and students from classes 6th-8th would be preparing a Nukkad Natak on the honourable freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh. Painting and colouring competitions would also be arranged for the junior classes on the theme of Tricolour.”

We have planned to conduct two assemblies for the same, Junior and Senior School Assembly. It is being conducted with dedicated efforts from teachers and students. Small presentations on the relevance of freedom day and unfurling of the National Flag in school premises by one of our school authority member would be streamed live to students in the morning.”
