New Delhi, December 08, 2021: Sharda University has taken a big stride toady in the direction of academia-industry bonding by signing a MoU with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, one of the largest and oldest apex business organization in India. The MoU was signed by Dr Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor of Sharda University and Mr. Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry today on 08 December, 2021 in Sharda University Campus. in the presence of Mr D P Goel Co-Chair, PHDCCI MSME Committee, Dr H P Kumar, Advisor, PHDCCU MSME, Mr Naveen Seth Asst Secretary General and Mr Mithilesh Kumar, Secretary, PHDCCI were present during the occasion ,.The signing ceremony was attended by senior faculty members as well as senior functionaries from both sides.
It may be noted that PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is active in almost 67 sectors of the economy and plays a leading role in policy debates that are at the forefront of social, economic and political change. PHD Chamber’s stand on policy issues is sought out by think tanks, governments and academia and Its publications are widely read for their in-depth research and policy prescriptions. The MoU shall provide Sharda University ready access to industries under the umbrella of PHD Chamber of Commerce in more formal & organised manner. MoU shall also facilitate practical exposure to faculty and students by giving them the opportunity to participate in industry-led sessions, webinars, seminars, workshops events, internships and placements.
Sharda University and PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry mutually agreed to organize an academia-industry meet on forthcoming World IP Day i.e. on 26 April, 2022 for show-casing the technologies developed by innovative faculty and students of Sharda University to industries for not only identifying the opportunities for technology transfer but also to strengthen the linkages in a continuous and self-sustained manner. Dr Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor of Sharda University, during the signing ceremony, emphasized for continuous efforts from both sides for identifying areas of cooperation for larger interest of community. Dean Research, Dr Bhuvnesh Kumar and Head IPR Cell, Prof Avinash Kumar coordinated the Meeting.
