With the emergence and spread of digital devices and technology, reading has taken a back seat. Rather, students now read on tabs and mobiles, which certainly may be the current trend, but it’s also important to retain the age-old habit of reading books. The pleasure and joy of book reading is irreplaceable and given that students have very little time and patience for this, it is all the more important to reinforce this positive habit. Reading not only equips students with essential skills for academic success and personal growth but also enriches their understanding of diverse perspectives and ideas. Whether exploring science journals, modern fiction, or classic literature, the benefits of reading are profound and far-reaching. Understanding these benefits can help students achieve academic excellence, foster intellectual growth, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
