The UT Department of Education has given permission to private schools in Chandigarh to charge fees after a petition filed by the state school association.

The UT Department of Education has recently released an order allowing private schools to collect tuition fees on a monthly basis.
Collection of school fee notice came in response to a petition filed by the Independent School Association of Chandigarh. The petition talks about the rights of schools and the importance of the collection of fees from parents. Indeed, schools too have to pay salaries and bear other expenses like online classes etc.
Schools fee payment amid coronavirus lockdown
Although the authorities have given a green signal to schools to collect fee, parents will not be penalised for the late fee until May 31. They would have to pay the fees for the months of April and May. They are excepted from late fee charges according to the reports published in indiatoday.in.
The last date to submit fees is mid of the month, starting from June.
