New Delhi, April 14, 2025: The birth anniversary of the father of the Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar was celebrated at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies with the inauguration of newly constructed NVIDIA Data Center and Quantum Lab at the Vivekananda School of Engineering & Technology by Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Dr Sahasrabudhe, the leading science educationist, also unveiled a portrait of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of the constitution and delivered a lecture on the occasion.
Dr Sahasrabudhe extended heartfelt greetings to the gathering and congratulated the institute on the milestone. Highlighting the symbolic relevance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he noted, “Access, equity, and equality—Dr. Ambedkar symbolizes all of this, and it is heartening to see these values being upheld by this institution. He praised the institute’s evolution, especially with the addition of engineering, along with six disciplines which has made it a complete multidisciplinary center. Praising the achievements of students at the School of Engineering, he commended their award-winning projects and success in hackathons. “Your classrooms and labs are jewels in the crown for your students. With such a strong foundation, the next 25 years are Amrit Kaal for VIPS-TC and will be even more glorious. I had the honor of inaugurating the AI Data Centre and Quantum Lab, which are rare among institutes in India and truly commendable.” He concluded with an inspiring message: “If we continue to move forward with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, the next phase of your journey will truly be transformative.”
Speaking on Ambedkar Jayanti, Dr. S.C. Vats, Chairman, VIPS-TC, expressed pride in honoring the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, calling him “a man of unmatched knowledge who continues to inspire generations.” He stated that the inauguration of the AI and Quantum Labs on this occasion is a fitting tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of progress through knowledge. Welcoming Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, he praised his humility and commitment to students, especially during the pandemic. Reaffirming VIPS-TC’s dedication to excellence, Dr. Vats said, “With each step in innovation, we aim to make our institution’s name shine and build a brighter India.”
Reflecting on the legacy of Dr BR Ambedkar as Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, Prof Emeritus (Dr) Subba Rao emphasized on his pivotal role in ensuring social, economic and political justice through the constitution. He said, “Dr. Ambedkar contributed significantly through all the non-discriminatory framework.” He stated that our Constitution is flexible and alive—if it lives, we live.
On his arrival on the campus, Dr Sahasrabudhe was presented with a Guard of Honour by the NCC cadets. He interacted with students of engineering and also visited world class facilities like Law Moot Court and Audio Visual Studio.
