New Delhi, September 29, 2025: Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, one of the leading B-Schools in India, conducted its 14th Annual Convocation. A total of 452 students graduated on this day from two programs: the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) 2023–25, with 285 graduates, and the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) 2024–25, with 167 graduates.
Mr. Vijay Thadani, Co-Founder of NIIT and NIIT University, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the graduating classes, Mr. Thadani shared an inspiring message: “In this era of uncertainty, let your excitement be greater than your anxiety, and let purpose guide your journey.” He reminded the graduates that convocation is not an ending, but a license to step into the unknown, emphasizing that integrity, authenticity, and empathy are the true markers of a professional. He urged them to see failures as stepping stones and disruptions as opportunities, while making AI their intellectual sparring partner without losing sight of the unique power of the human mind.
As part of the convocation ceremony, academic and non-academic honors were announced for meritorious students. The graduating classes celebrated their achievements with pride, supported by excellent placements across diverse sectors.
Presenting the Principal’s Report, Dr. Jones Mathew, Principal of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, highlighted the institute’s remarkable progress over the past year, notably securing its place among the top 50 management institutes in India as per the NIRF 2025 rankings. Dr. Mathew also shared key developments, such as significant infrastructural expansions on campus. He noted that research output has increased, with faculty publishing in highly ranked international journals and presenting papers at global conferences. Also, the Karma Yoga social impact program has expanded its operations to 32 villages, positively impacting over 2,500 students and villagers.
Dr. Mathew reminded graduates to lead change, not just adapt to it. He emphasized resilience, turning challenges into opportunities for growth, and encouraged them to think globally while acting responsibly, balancing ambition with ethics and impact. He also urged graduates to value their networks and relationships, concluding with an inspiration to carry curiosity, courage, and compassion as they embark on their journey as future leaders.
Leading companies such as Deloitte, Accenture, ZS Associates, Bank of America, KPMG, PwC, HCLTech, Infosys, Cognizant, LTIMindtree, Gartner, Vedanta Resources, Axtria, Oxane Partners, YASH Technologies, Royal Enfield, and Genpact were among the top recruiters. For the PGDM batch, the highest domestic CTC offered was INR 22.7 lakhs per annum by a major mining company, with an average CTC of INR 11.85 lakhs per annum. For the PGPM batch, the highest domestic CTC offered was INR 21.84 lakhs per annum by a leading multinational consulting firm, with an average CTC of INR 15.1 lakhs per annum.
The ceremony concluded with certificates awarded to all graduates, marking a proud moment for the institute. The theme “Lead the Change” resonated throughout the day, reminding students that every lesson, challenge, and memory from Great Lakes will serve as a compass in their professional and personal journeys.
