New Delhi, September 09, 2021: Teachers’ Day is celebrated in India every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. To honour the significant contribution of teachers especially in the tough times of Covid 19, schools in Delhi NCR went beyond their usual celebration manner and applauded their relentless efforts. The pandemic by limiting the movement of children also somehow hampered their vigor and zeal to learn, however the teachers made sure growth of students remains intact and by adapting their teaching methods the mentors made sure students remain as excited for remote classes as the physical classroom.
DPS Indirapuram celebrated Teachers’Day in a special assembly on 4th September 2021. The chief guest for the occasion was Mrs. Santosh Bansal, Pro-vice Chairperson DPS Indirapuram. The occasion was also graced by Mr. Abhishek Bansal, Member managing committee, DPS Indirapuram as the guest of honour.
Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela, Principal, DPS Indirapuram in her address expressed her gratitude to the teachers for their untiring efforts to reach out to the children during the new normal. The Chief guest , Mrs. Santosh Bansal also acknowledged the immense contribution of the teachers for revolutionizing the education scenario in the past few months. In his address, Mr. Abhishek Bansal congratulated the teachers for adapting so efficiently to the prevailing times and being the harbingers of digital education.
A special lucky draw event was organised for the teachers wherein teachers bagged a variety of gifts and souvenirs. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela, Principal, DPS Indirapuram , based on the value based education of The Shri Ram School, in collaboration with Shri Educare celebrated Teachers’ Day with zest and enthusiasm. The event was presided over by Retired Major General Dilawar Singh who is currently working as Senior Vice President at Youth Affairs Department, Government of India. The school was privileged to have such an esteemed and motivating speaker on the day of the event along with the parent representatives of the school. The students also extended their gratitude towards their teachers with their heart -warming performances during the class and school celebration. The school didn’t leave the chance and acknowledged the efforts of the teachers with various prestigious awards and titles. Ms. Anshu Mital, Principal, MRG School,Rohini also enlightened the audience with her motivating words.
DPS RNE Ghaziabad followed the digital route of celebrations for this Teachers’ Day as well, and hosted an assembly wherein students presented mesmerizing and heart-touching performances dedicated to their teachers and mentors. The assembly ended with a special message by the school Principal, Ms. Pallavi Upadhyaya.
